Interactive art installation
STRP TRANSFORM is a project in which obsolete devices and machines are reassembled as unique works of art. For this exhibition we turned a bunch of old Xerox printers into a DIY art installation where you could generate your own artwork by fiddling with sliders, knobs, buttons etc.
The core of this installation was a single Processing application connected with multiple Arduino's (one for each printer). By adjusting an input (e.g. slider or knob), the application generated a variation of a pattern or shape. Once you pressed the print button, the resulting graphic was printed. By repeatedly performing these actions you could create your own piece of art.
